Hi! My name is Myra, and I made this little AceAttorney x Eclectic Opposition visual novel game for Secret Samol 2024.

If you didn't understand what that means: This is a fangame for the podcast Friends at the table, specifically for their Sci fi ttrpg game called Palisade. It is a silly murder mystery, in the (attempted) style of the video games Ace Attorney.

The mystery DOES NOT require you to have listened to Palisade to solve it: all the information you need will be given to you during the game. However, there is a LOT of character interaction between characters that might feel less interesting to you if you do not previously know them, as well as some sci fi vocabulary unique to the setting. It does contain implied spoilers for Palisade, such as characters and appearances that occur later in the season- it does not mention major plot events from the season- it is not canon compliant- characters who could never meet will hang in this.

This game is image and text based, and has drawings in a cartoony style that depicts a murder scene, including a corpse.

Trigger warnings: Blood, death, mentions and depiction of the aftermath of gun violence, murder

Had an absolute blast with this. It was a good mystery, I was able to follow along with the clues and reach conclusions ahead of time, and was satisfied how my guesses were either confirmed or subverted. Often very funny writing too, the two lines that got me to laugh out loud were Gucci's comment on Brnine's emoji usage and Eclectic's muttered comment about Jesset not even being under consideration for that one thing (POOR JESSET LMAO). And of course, the art is just excellent, each design is so thought out and really fun to see in motion in the sprites. Leap might be a fav, what a good Leap!!!! & the blue channel looked great, and even the designs of the props were so good. This must have taken ages to put together!! Absolutely iconic.

Oh my god, THANK YOU! This is SO great to read, I'm so happy you had a good time with the mystery! And to hear that you could follow along and reach conclusions on your own, that was something I hoped people could do (but wasnt sure I achieved)! I'm not primarily a writer, so I'm very glad my little jokes and such landed hehe! Thank you so much for playing! :D

this is amazing! it was awesome to see a nice range of the characters, and the mystery was really good imo (i caught on to the first twist but not the second until the end!). art looks great as well!

aaah I'm so glad to hear that! :D It's my first time writing a mystery and I wanted something where people could actually guess what is going on, but also have to think about it a bit! Im so glad it worked for you! c:

this rules, loved it!

aaah I'm so glad! C:

I loved it! Your art style is great and it lends itself perfectly to the goofiness of the story, being able to push expressions and poses. I think you managed to capture the characters' voices super well (not an easy feat!) and how they'd interact. You're crazy for the FF reveal btw 💀💀💀 /positive

aaah I'm so glad you liked it! :D And that you liked the characterizations, its so many characters, I did my best to make them feel true to themselves (but also participating in silly murder mystery!)

What a heck of a game.
